As part of the centralized online system for the admission of new recruits in the courses that come under the Industrial Training Institute (ITIs) grouping for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the territory’s Industrial Training Institute is the governing body. The aspirants can visit the official website, http://labour.and.nic.in/ITI.html, for detailed information on the admission process.
The various ITI trades for which technical training is imparted in Andaman & Nicobar are electrician, surveyor, fitter, welder, and draughtsman (civil) – to list a few. Also, the various courses vary with respect to their eligibility norms. Thus, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria; and apply only if they fulfill the given requirements.
The applicants are required to have cleared their 10th or 12 standard exams to apply for the respective ITI courses in Andaman & Nicobar. They can submit their applications via the official website. For applying, they have to fill the application form, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee.
The ITI authorities will accept all applications within the stipulated deadline, following which they will prepare the merit list that is based on the candidates’ scores in the qualifying examinations.
The candidates who appear in the merit list are invited for counseling. During the counseling sessions, the colleges are allotted to the applicants as per their given choices. Upon receiving the allotment letters, the aspirants have to visit the respective ITI centers for the rest of the admission procedure.
