There are several Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) throughout India. These training centers come under the jurisdiction of the government. Those students who have cleared their school examinations and are keen on gaining technical expertise rather than continuing with conventional studies can opt for undergoing training at these institutes.
In the Indian state of Chhattisgarh also, there are numerous ITI centers that conduct courses in varied trades. The permanent residents of Chhattisgarh can apply for the ITI courses, through the entrance exams that are conducted via the Directorate of Training, Chhattisgarh.
There are numerous ITI courses that the applicants can choose from. There are varied ITI trades that come under the engineering and non-engineering categories. However, the varied courses have different eligibility criteria; and the applicants must apply to the specific courses only if they fulfill the given criteria.
As part of the eligibility norms, the candidates should have passed their 10th or 12th standard from recognized educational institutes. Additionally, most ITI courses require the candidates to be over the age of 14 years. Also, there is no upper age limit that is mentioned. The aspirants must check the necessary details and only then, apply for the particular courses.
For applying to the ITI courses, the aspirants have to clear the entrance test. The application form of the entrance test is downloadable from the official website, http://cgiti.cgstate.gov.in/. After downloading the form, the relevant fields must be filled and also, the application fee should be paid, to complete the registration process.
Following the registration process and as per the given schedule, the candidates will be provided with admit cards that are available on the site and on the mentioned dates. Print-outs of the hall tickets must be taken and carried along by the applicants when going for the exam.
At the exam hall, the admit cards are verified. Post giving the exam, after couple of days, the exam results are declared. The applicants have to visit the official website for getting their results.
The subsequent step is to attend the counseling sessions as per the schedule. During these meetings, the documents of the applicants are ascertained; and also, their scores in the exams are considered. Then, the merit list is prepared by the authorities for allotting the colleges to the respective students. On the given dates, the students are required to attend the colleges. If they fail to appear, their admission is canceled.
