Every year, a considerable percentage of applicants apply for the courses that are held in the various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the several states of India. As part of the application process, the applicants have to appear for the entrance test. In the Indian state of Haryana, the Department of Industrial Training (DIT) is the body that conducts the state-level entrance exams.
There are numerous ITI courses that provide technical knowledge on the varied non-engineering and engineering trades. However, the different courses vary in eligibility criteria. Basically, the applicants are required to complete their 8th, 10th or 12th standards from recognized state / central boards to become eligible for the programs. Moreover, the minimum age of the applicants should be 14 years.
To apply for the entrance exam, the candidates have to browse the official website, http://itiharyana.gov.in/. Here, they have to complete the registration process, following which they must apply online. Also, they have to furnish the application fee to complete their application.
After the given deadline for the receipt of the application forms, the authorities will release the admit cards 10 days or so before the exam date. The admit cards have to be downloaded from the official website and also, taken along to the examination hall. Upon request, the candidates must produce the admit cards to the examining authorities.
A month after the exam date, the exam results will be declared. The candidates can check the website to know their exam scores. Also, a merit list is prepared by the authorities that contain the names of the candidates who have passed the exam. Based on the merit list, the candidates are invited for counseling.
During the counseling rounds, the candidate’s documents are verified. Thereafter, the respective ITI colleges are allotted to the applicants, based on their overall performance. On the specified days, the aspirants have to attend the respective colleges along with the given allotment letter. After paying the tuition fees, they can attend the classes as per the given schedule.
