Himachal Pradesh ITI Admit Card 2018

Himachal Pradesh is a state in India and like all other Indian states, conducts courses at the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for the eligible candidates. The Department of Technical Education Vocational & Industrial Training, Himachal Pradesh, (also, referred to as Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board) is the body that oversees the admission process in the various ITI centers in the state.

The varied ITI courses in Himachal Pradesh impart technical training in trades such as radiology technician, machinist, fitter, draughtsman (civil), wireman, welder, plumber, instrument mechanic, turner, painter – to name a few.

The various ITI courses have different eligibility norms. The minimum educational qualification is that the candidates should have passed their 10th or 12th standard from the duly recognized school boards. Moreover, in some courses, the aspirants should have studied subjects such as Science and Mathematics during their high school studies. Also, they should be over 14 years of age to be considered eligible. However, the eligibility criteria are relaxed for some reserved groups.

To apply to the ITI centers in Himachal Pradesh, the interested parties have to make online applications for the entrance exam at the official website ‘http://www.hptechboard.com’. As part of the online application process, the applicants have to furnish the required details and also, pay the admission fee via the given modes of payment. More importantly, they must meet the given deadline to qualify for the entrance test.

After receiving the online applications, the ITI authorities will start issuing admit cards or hall tickets. The hall tickets are uploaded 1-2 weeks prior to the date of the exam. The aspirants are required to download their respective ones from the official website and carry them along when going for the exam.

There are several steps in the admission process, including the verification of original documents, releasing the merit list, counseling sessions, amongst others. Depending on the candidates’ scores in the merit list and choice of colleges, they are granted admissions in the respective colleges. On the scheduled dates, the aspirants have to visit the allotted college and complete the required formalities for their admissions.
