Jammu and Kashmir ITI Admit Card

The permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir (J & K) are invited, every year, by the Directorate of Technical Education to apply for the various courses that are held at the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state.
The eligibility norms of the varied ITI courses are different. The programs require the candidates to have passed their 8th, 10th or 12th standard from recognized school boards. Also, only candidates above the age of 14 years are eligible. For this reason, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria when applying.
The various ITI trades for which technical knowledge is provided to the applicants in the J & K ITIs are Mechanic (Tractor), Plumber, Welder, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Machinist, Electrician, Programming Assistant, Stenographer – to name a few.
For getting admissions to the ITI courses that are conducted at the J& K ITI centers, the candidates have to give an entrance exam. To apply for the entrance test, the applicants have to visit the official website https://www.jkdte.org/index.htm.
After the given deadline for the applications, the ITI authorities will upload the admit cards on the official website for the candidates to download. The admit cards have to be carried by the applicants when going for the exam.
Post the exam, the merit list that contains the names of the successful candidates is released. Moreover, the aspirants are required to furnish their school / college certificates, attend the counseling sessions, and pay the admission dues - to gain admissions in the allotted ITI colleges in J & K.
