The applicants who are seeking admissions in the various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) that are based in the Indian state of Jharkhand should know that the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is the body that conducts the admission process.
In Jharkhand, there are many government and private ITI centers that have courses where the students are given technical knowledge on the varied ITI trades i.e. engineering and non-engineering. However, there is no entrance test that is conducted for admitting students. Instead, the authorities will prepare a merit list as per the scores of the candidates in the qualifying exam.
The eligibility norms for the different ITI courses are found to vary. The minimum qualification of the courses is that the candidate must have cleared their 8th standard exam for some courses; for others, 10th standard examination. Also, the aspirants should be between 14-40 years of age to apply. Moreover, they must be permanent residents of Jharkhand and physically fit as well.
For applying to the courses that are conducted at the Jharkhand ITI centers, the applicants have to visit the official website, jceceb.nic.in. There are 2 ways of applying: online and offline.
To apply online, the aspirants have to fill the online application form, pay the admission fee, and upload the required documents. Alternatively, they can download the application form and take a printout after which they necessary details can be entered. Then, the application form and other required documents have to be mailed to the given address that is mentioned on the site. Also, the admission fee has to be paid via demand draft as per the details on the site.
As mentioned earlier, there is no entrance test that is conducted. The ITI authorities will prepare the merit list based on the candidates’ marks in the qualifying examinations. Thereafter, the selected candidates have to appear for the counseling sessions where their documents are verified. However, those candidates who are applying under the reserved categories have to produce the valid certificates for their admissions.
