The Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship (DGT MSDE) is the body that governs the admission process of the several Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the Indian state of Sikkim.
In Assam, the different ITI trades for which courses are conducted at the allotted colleges include desktop publishing operator, wireman, plumber, turner, draughtsman (mechanical), Mechanic (motor vehicle), physiotherapy, technician, machinist grinder, and technical – amongst others.
The first step in the application process is to visit the official website, www.govtitisikkim.com. Here, the applicants must check the eligibility norms of the course that they are interested in. Only if they satisfy the given criteria, they must register on the website.
The subsequent step is to fill the online application form and also, pay the required application fee. Also, they must take a printout of the submitted application form to have a record. Keep in mind that after the stipulated deadline, the applicants will not be able to apply. Thus, the aspirants must submit their applications before the given timeline.
Post the last date for submission of the online applications, the ITI authorities will screen the candidates’ applications. Based on the screening results, they will prepare a merit list. The candidates whose names appear on the merit list are invited to several rounds of counseling.
After the counseling sessions, the names of the candidates and the colleges where they have gained admission are displayed on the website. Accordingly, the applicants have to visit the respective ITI colleges for completing the rest of the admission paperwork.
