Mizoram ITI & Merit List 2023

In India’s state of Mizoram that is traceable to the Northeastern region of the country, the Directorate General of Training (DGT), the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Union Government of India, supervises the functioning of the state’s vocational training hubs. The state wants to promote technical education in the state and for this reason, the vocational training centers are being constituted.

In India, skill-based training is conducted through the government-run and private-based, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) respectively. At the national level, the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) frames the regulations that govern the training hubs; at the state level, through the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) of the respective states, the policies are implemented.

Vocational training comprises of 70% skills training and 30% theoretical knowledge. The aspiring candidates can take their pick from over a mix of over 130 engineering and non-engineering trades, which are inclusive of both NCVT and SCVT ones.

If they enroll for the NCVT trades, they can attain the National Level Trade Certificate; and for the SCVT trades, the State Level Trade Certificates are awarded. However, only after successfully completing the courses, the certifications are given.

In Mizoram, the trade programs comprise of 4 semesters that are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones.
