We are living in the fast competitive world where there is a great demand for technically skilled persons. More over the globalization and liberation of the economy has also increased the demand for those who contribute in the development of industrial sector. To understand the need of this changing scenario, ITI institutions have played a crucial role in the development of industrial sector of our country. ITI’s were first started in 1969 and now they become a forerunner in generating employment of today’s youth.
The main aim of ITI’s to promote industrialization in India. In the beginning there were only some traditional skills and trades like fitter, welder, machinist were the part of the curriculum of the these ITI’s but now with the advancement of technology as well as the need of industrial sector various modern diploma courses such as computer, hospital management, retail management etc were also added for training.
To understand the need of growing demand in industrial sector, and to provide employment to the weaker sections of society the state of Tamil Nadu has opened various ITI institutes in the state. There are total 28 Industrial training institutes in the state affiliated with National Council for Vocational Education and Training. The vocational training system of India offers training through ITI’s (government institutes) and ITC’s through private institutes. There are about 12,000 such institutes in the country.
You can fill online these forms through Online Result Portal with the basic qualification of 10th passed from state education board. Before filling the application form read the eligibility criteria carefully. You can even take out the online printout of form as well.
