The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) manages the affairs of technical education in the Indian state of Haryana. The Society admits the eligible candidates on the basis of their marks in the qualifying exam and no state-level entrance exam is conducted. Haryana Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the various diploma courses are discussed below:

Diploma in Engineering: The candidate has to clear the 10th standard exam from a recognized educational Board while scoring 35% minimum aggregate marks. Also, they should pass in Mathematics and Science subjects.

Diploma in Engineering (Lateral Entry): The applicant should pass the 12th standard exam in vocational stream; or 12th standard examination with the inclusion of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Maths; or 12th standard exam with NSQF’s level 4. Other than that, the candidates who have completed 2 years of ITI courses post the 10th standard are eligible as well.

Diploma in Pharmacy: The aspirant must clear the 12th standard exam or equivalent. Their minimum aggregate marks should be 35% in the qualifying exam; and the subjects must include Biology or Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.

Haryana Polytechnic Application Form

The examining authorities upload the online application form and notify the candidates about the same. Thereafter, the candidates have to visit the official website for accessing the application form. For applying, they must fill the application form with the required details. Besides, they should upload copies of their signature and photograph as per the stipulated format.

Upon submitting their application, the system generates an Application Number that the candidate should note down. They can make changes in their application on visiting the designated centers via the application number, during the process of verification of educational documents. Additionally, they should keep a print copy of the filled application form. Next, they have to pay the application fee that is acceptable in both online and offline mode.

Haryana Polytechnic Exam Pattern

The Haryana DET examination comprises of 100 questions that are objective-type ones. The exam is conducted in online mode, having a duration of 100 minutes. The correct answers give the candidate 1 mark while there is no negative marking for the incorrect ones.

The exam syllabus conforms to the 10+2 standard of Haryana’s Board of School Education. The questions are based on subjects like General Aptitude, Science, Mathematics, and English.

The admit cards of the candidates are accessible via the official website. Also, the authorities inform the applicants on the dates that they can download their admit cards.
