It was in the year 1969 that Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established. The base of AAU is Jorhat in the Indian state of Assam. Then, in the year 1969, the Assam Agricultural University was instituted. Also, AAC was renamed as College of Agriculture with the center’s headquarters based in Jorhat. Also, AVC came to be known as College of Veterinary Science and was shifted from Nagaon to Khanapura.
