G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology or Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology is the first agricultural university of India. This University was established in 17 November 1960 as the “Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University”. Later, in 1972 the name of this University was changed to "Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology" in memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. This University is situated in Pantnagar in the Indian State of Uttarakhand and is regarded as the forerunner of Green Revolution of India.

G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology is recognized by the University Grants Commission, Indian Council of Agricultural Research and All India Council for Technical Education. This University provides the light of education to more than 3000 students where they are studying different disciplines of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate courses. This University is a non-affiliating University where the academic activities are controlled by its faculties which consists of: Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Science, Technology, Basic Science & Humanities, Home Science, Fisheries, Agribusiness Management and International Agriculture.
