Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) was established on 3rd June 1998 by the state Government of Maharashtra through an ordinance. It is a higher education institution in the Nashik District of Maharashtra. The main aim to establish the university is to ensure proper and systematic instruction, training, teaching and to provide research opportunities in modern medicine and Indian system of medicine in the state of Maharashtra. The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate studies including PhD in all the branches of health science.
The undergraduate programs offered by the university is five and half year of duration and the degrees include Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery(BAMS) , Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery(BHMS) and Bachelor in Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) etc. Post graduate courses awarded by the university include Doctor of Medicine (M.D) in various areas, Master of Surgery (M.S), Master of Science (M.Sc) along with other PG diplomas.
At present 34 Medical Colleges, 4 Government run dental colleges and 13 private dental colleges and 14 Ayurveda colleges are affiliated with the university. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), located in Nagpur in India’s Maharashtra state, makes accessible the exam results of its affiliated programs on its official web portal, https://www.muhs.ac.in/. Candidates who appear for the MUHS exams can check their exam results on its official portal upon result declaration.
