About Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune

The university was established on 10th February 1949 under the Poona University Act and houses 46 academic departments. Savtribai Phula Pune University was ranked 601-800 in the world by Times Higher Education World University rankings in 2016-17. It was also ranked 14th in India overall by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2017. The university offers undergraduate(UG), Post Graduate(PG) , PhD, M.Phill programs in various streams like Science, Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Teaching, Humanities, Social Science, Foreign Languages , Computer Science etc.
