Lakshadweep Engineering all Semester Results

Lakshadweep is a group of 36 Islands, traceable to India’s western coast of the Arabian Sea and off the coast of the Indian state of Kerala. Also, Lakshadweep is one of India’s smallest union territories. However, the islands have adopted the total literacy campaign in the year 1992 with the aim of empowering the residents via the medium of education.

Moreover, the islands espoused the Government of India’s education initiative, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, for providing elementary education to youngsters between the ages of 6 to 14 years. Lakshadweep’s education institutions (schools and colleges) are found in the territory’s 10 inhabited islands.

During the 1950s, a series of modern schools and madrasas were set up in Lakshadweep to impart primary education to the children. Nonetheless, for higher education, the pupils had to travel to the mainland. Then, in the year 1972, the Jawaharlal Nehru College started operations for catering to the higher education needs of the students.

Presently, there are 2 colleges in Lakshadweep that are the Government Jawaharlal Nehru College and Mahatma Gandhi College.
