NIELIT BCC Exam Result 2024 Declared on nielit.gov.in

The Basic Computer Course (BCC) was started by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), which was earlier known as the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC). Having started operations in the year 1990, the DOEACC was formed as a result of a DIT and AICTE joint partnership.

The NIELIT comes under the control of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology which operates under the Government of India. In India, the NIELIT is hailed as the foremost institution for Certification and Examination in the IECT (Information, Electronics and Communication Technology) field. To apply for the programs that NIELIT offers, the aspirants should visit the official website, https://student.nielit.gov.in/.

The BCC was introduced by the NIELIT during the year 2011, with the objective of imparting computer knowledge to people. However, later on, the program became popular among persons from all walks of life.

Through the course, the candidates are equipped to use computers on a daily basis for personal and professional uses. The program helps them gain literacy in computers. As such, they learn how to operate computers and create documents as well as spreadsheets using software. Also, they study how to browse the Internet, send emails, and search for information on search engines. After completing the course, they can make computer-based presentations as well.

The BCC is conducted over a period of 2 months which the pupils have to devote 2 hours per day.

The course duration is 36 hours – including theory (10 hours), practicals (22 hours) and tutorials (04 hours). Even so, the course can be completed within 6 days on a full-time, intensive basis.
