The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) has declared the AITT (CTS) Supplementary and Leftover Exam Result on the official website, Students who have appeared for the AITT (CTS) Supplementary and Leftover exams of the ITI vocational trade courses can download their respective results via the official web portal.

The NCVT has the responsibility of conducting the AITT exams two times per year during the months of June and December. This examination evaluates the skills acquired by the students during their training period at the ITIs. The exam helps to know the competency of the ITI students in their respective trades while improving their employability.

The National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), a counselling body to the Indian Government, functions under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The year 1956 marks the establishment of the NCVT by the Government of India.

The NCVT headquarters are based in New Delhi and this central agency advises the Government of India on framing the training policies for the vocational trade courses across the country.

The NCVT has the onus of developing the syllabus for the craftsmen training courses and drafting the policies governing such programs. Moreover, the NCVT is responsible for holding the All India Trade Tests and granting the National Trade Certificates to the qualifying candidates. The NCVT certifications are recognized both nationally and globally.

The NCVT conducts vocational training courses for various groups of people. These include school drop-outs, ITI graduates having degrees, workers, and engineering and non-engineering diploma holders.

Vocational training enhances the employability of the students for they gain skills to work in the given trades in the public and private sector. In the process, they earn their livelihood and become financially independent, which improves their overall quality of life.

NCVT Result 2024: Steps to Download

Follow the given steps to check the NCVT MIS ITI Result 2024 online:

  • In the first step, you have to browse the official portal,
  • Go to the “Trainee” tab seen on the home page and select the “Trainee Profile” link from the sub-menu
  • The system will then display the login page, where you have to enter your credentials including your “Registration Number” ” father / Guardian Name”, “Date of Birth”, and “Captcha Code”
  • Go ahead and tap the “Submit” tab

ITI Training Centers

There are various public and private ITI centres throughout India.

As far as government-aided ITI vocational training centres are concerned, the NCVT conducts the admission process of eligible students as per the prescribed guidelines. Students get admission on a merit basis or via an entrance exam in the government-run centres.

The privately run ITI training centres draw their own admission rules.

ITI Vocational Trade Training Programs

The ITI training centres admit students who are 14 years and above. The NCVT recognizes 1212 ITI vocational trade courses across 57 sectors as of 30th November 2010. Also, the ITI trade courses conducted in India come under the Craftsmen Training Scheme that was founded by the Directorate General of Training (DGT) in the year 1950.

Among ITI trade programs are engineering trades and non-engineering trades. Engineering trades include plumber, machinist, electrician, draughtsman (Civil / Mechanical), and carpenter – to list a few. Non-engineering trades include data entry operations, cutting & sewing, and stenography, among others. Many new courses have been introduced recently, including Fragrance, Marine Engineering, Renewable Energy, Flavour & perfumes, Bamboo Fabrication, and Film Production.

The duration of the ITI courses varies from 6 months to 2 years and candidates can choose among the various trade specializations as per their interests and aptitude.

Applicants who pass their 8th Class, 10th Class, or 12th Class exams are eligible to enrol in the ITI courses. The ITI courses include 1-year Apprenticeship Training, which is followed by the All India Trade Test.

Every year, the NCVT conducts exams for students who are enrolled in the 1st year and 2nd year of the ITI courses during the months of July and August. The National Trade Certificate is granted to candidates who successfully complete the ITI vocational trade courses.

Only those candidates that score at least 40% marks are entitled to receive the ITI Certificate. The original mark sheet and certificates are available at the respective ITI centres and students are advised to collect the same on the prescribed dates. Once they successfully complete the ITI trade courses, they become eligible to work in the chosen trades.
