Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) Result 2023

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE). Candidates who aspire to pursue undergraduate-level Agriculture and Horticulture science courses in the participating colleges across the state of Bihar can apply to the BCECE.

Previously, the BCECE was administered for admitting students in Architecture, Pharmacy, Medical, and Engineering program in the Bihar colleges. However, during the year 2019, the BCECEB held counseling sessions for admitting pupils in Engineering and Architecture courses. And they started giving admissions to candidates in the Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, and Medical courses after considering their NEET scores.  

The BCECE consists of five papers for the different streams: Agriculture, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each paper consists of 100 questions, runs for 90 minutes, and totals 400 marks.

BCECE: Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the BCECE, the aspirants have to check if they satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

He/she has to pass Class XII or Intermediate exam from any recognized state or central board of education. More so, they are required to have studied the following subjects in the qualifying exam: Agriculture, Mathematics, and Science.

The applicant has to be at least 16 years at the time of application.

 Where the eligibility norms for the medical and engineering courses are concerned, they should meet the eligibility criteria of NEET and JEE Main respectively.

BCECE: Admission Process 

#Step 1: Fill the application form

To apply to BCECE, the candidates are required to submit their applications in online mode. They can access the online application form from the BCECE official website, https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/.

As part of the BCECE application process, the applicants have to register, fill in the mandatory fields in the application form, upload scanned copies of the requisite documents, and remit the application fee.

#Step 2: Download Admit Card

The BCECE authorities issue Admit Cards to eligible candidates to appear for the entrance exam. The Admit Card contains details such as the applicant’s name, roll number, and exam center. After the Admit Cards are uploaded on the website, the candidate has to take a print copy. Also, they should carry their Admit Card to the exam hall for verification purposes. 

#Step 3: Appear for the BCECE Exam

The aspirants should appear for the BCECE as per the given schedule. The exam is held via offline mode. 

#Step 4: Download BCECE Result

After the BCECEB declares the results, the applicants can sign into the official website to check their qualifying status and marks. Also, the authorities will publish individual merit lists for the different subjects, based on which they admit pupils in the given courses.

#Step 5: Counseling

As per the candidates’ ranks, the candidates are invited to participate in the BCECE counseling rounds. The examiners allot seats to the applicants in the participating colleges based on their eligibility, merit lists, and reservation norms.

 The candidates can fill in their choices from the list of participating institutes.

After they are allotted seats, they should go to the stipulated college office to complete the rest of the admission formalities, including paperwork and paying the course fees.
