The authorizing body, the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT), uploads the results of the NCVT MIS ITI exams on the official website, ncvtmis.gov.in. Also, the ITI websites, pertaining to the different states, display the results. The applicants can browse either of the sites to check their results. To view the results of the 3rd Semester, only go to the results page on either of the 2 sites. Then, after entering details such as roll number and stipulated semester, you can download your results.
On a yearly basis, through the months February and July / August, the NCVT holds exams for the different ITI trades and various semesters.
A large percentage of aspirants apply for the varied ITI courses each year. They have the option of choosing among a series of engineering and non-engineering trades. Yet, there are different eligibility norms for the various courses. Only if you fulfill the eligibility norms, apply for the ITI programs; or else, your admission will be cancelled.
With the objective of imparting technical education to the country’s youth population, the Government of India initiated the Craftsmen Training Scheme during the year 1950s. Under the Scheme, a series of government-managed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and privately-owned Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) were constituted.
The Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET) that works under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of the Union Government of India was given the responsibility of setting up the ITIs and ITCs.
Also, at the national-level, the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) frames the policies that govern the trade courses. In turn, the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) puts the NCVT’s policies into practice.
In fact, the technical training centers are considered to be post secondary schools. Further, they offer a range of engineering and non-engineering trade programs.

However, the varied trade courses have different eligibility norms. Hence, the aspirants should apply only if they satisfy the given criteria. As part of the courses, the pupils should undergo the Apprenticeship training program, having 1-year duration. Also, they get stipend during the training period on a monthly basis. Moreover, the students have to clear the All India Trade Test.
Then, after they complete the courses successfully, they are awarded with the National Trade Certificate (NTCs). With the NTCs, the individuals can apply for jobs. More so, the candidates who clear the 2-year ITI courses can get lateral entry to the 2nd year of the Polytechnic Diploma programs that have a 3-year duration.
