The University Of Mysore (UOM), established on 1916, is among the foremost institutions of its kind, and is an enduring symbol in the sphere of higher education in India. It was founded by the then Maharaja of Mysore. University of Mysore (UOM) invites applications online, through its online admissions portal from eligible candidates for various Post Graduate (P.G), Under Graduate (U.G), Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programmes in various fields Arts, Commerce, Law, Education, Engineering, and Science etc. The Mysore University will select students through a written test. From this year onwards, UOM will centrally process PG admissions for PG programs through this online portal.

Entrance Examination is Compulsory for all postgraduate degree courses for all candidates except foreign nationals with foreign degree. Candidates have to apply and appear for entrance exam separately for separate courses, except M.B.A., M.C.A.
