Maharaja Agrasen College, Delhi

The founding year of the Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC) is 1994. MAC operates as a constituent college of the University of Delhi. During the beginning, the College was named as Co-Educational College and later, was renamed after Maharaja Agrasen, who was a great Indian ruler. The official website of MAC is http://mac.du.ac.in.

The College campus is spread over 10 acres of land and traceable to Vasundhara Enclave in the Eastern part of Delhi.

The MAC has been conducting academic sessions through 25 years and grown to become a center of excellence in the field of higher education. Also, the NIRF has ranked the MAC 32nd as per their 2018 rankings.

The College offers undergraduate and diploma courses. The varied College departments cover different areas. These include Biology, Electronics, History, Computer Science, Political Science, and Physics – to list a few.

MAC campus boasts of a University Grants Commission Research Center and Indira Gandhi Open University Centre as well.

More so, the College promotes interdisciplinary studies and academic exchanges via inter-departmental research and outreach initiatives.

Courses
MAC offers 3-year undergraduate-level programs in the areas of Arts, Commerce, and Science. Aspirants can apply for a range of Bachelors’ degree courses in several disciplines. They can apply for the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Science programs.

Also, the College conducts the Advanced Diploma in Television program and news production.

Amenities
At MAC, the students have a state-of-the-art campus with modern infrastructure. The College maintains provisions for seminar halls, well-developed laboratories, computer centers, among others.

A fully automated library, hostel facilities, well-equipped laboratories – all are also available on the MAC campus.

Moreover, to provide internships to pupils in varied areas, MAC has also instituted a Training & Placement Cell. As such, the students acquire corporate experience. Additionally, the Cell conducts an array of workshops to enrich the learning experience for the pupils.
