The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates who qualify JEE Main and rank among the top candidates are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The examination is conducted annually by one of the IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).

JEE Advanced is the gateway for admission into undergraduate programs in Engineering, Architecture, and Sciences offered by 23 IITs across India. The examination is known for testing candidates’ analytical skills, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving abilities.

JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To appear in JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must qualify JEE Main 2026 and secure a position among the top candidates in the Common Rank List (CRL). Candidates should also fulfill the age criteria, attempt limit, and Class 12th qualification requirements prescribed by the authorities.

Students must have appeared for the Class 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern

JEE Advanced 2026 will consist of two compulsory papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers will be conducted in online CBT mode. Each paper will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE (Advanced) 2026 Question Papers

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the JEE Advanced 2026 Question Papers for Paper 1 and Paper 2 conducted on May 17, 2026. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now download the Question Paper PDF from the official website. As per the official schedule, the candidate response sheets will be available on May 21, 2026, while the provisional answer key will be released on May 25, 2026. Students can challenge the answer key from May 25 to May 26, 2026. The final answer key along with the JEE Advanced 2026 result will be declared on June 1, 2026.
