Under the umbrella of the Aakash brand, there are 3 separate units, constituting the Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL); they are the Aakash Institute, Aakash Foundation, and Aakash IIT-JEE. The Aakash Institution’s registered office is located in New Delhi, India. Also, there are over 180 centers of Aakash across the country, with an annual base of 200000 pupils.

The objective of Aakash is to fulfill the dreams of the aspirants who want to become doctors and engineers. Under the leadership of the renowned visionary, Mr. JC Chaudhary, the Aakash brand has come to be recognized as a center of quality learning.

The Aakash Institute was set up in the year 1988 to prepare the students for the Medical entrance exams that are the NEET and AIIMS MBBS ones. At the start, the Aakash Institute had only 12 students and, over time, the Institute grew to become one of the prominent names in coaching centers for Medical entrance exams.

Aakash IIT-JEE started operations from the year 2007 onwards for coaching the aspirants for the Engineering entrance exams that are the JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

Aakash Foundations commenced operations during the Academic year 2009-10. The students can prepare for the School/Board exams and Foundation Level Entrance Examinations by enrolling in the courses at Aakash Foundation.

There are over 180 centers of Aakash across the country, with an annual base of 200000 pupils.

Aakash: Teaching Methodologies

Aakash provides study material to the students. Also, Aakash conforms to an Integrated Teaching and Focused-Learning Approach, in a competitive environment, for giving the students the necessary edge to excel in the entrance exams. Further, with the Center’s Standardized Education Delivery methodology, the pupils can be assured of receiving the best training. As part of the courses at Aakash, there are classroom sessions that are held on a daily basis. Fortnightly tests, regular practice tests, and periodic tests are conducted too. There are, also, dedicated doubt clearing hours where the pupils can approach the teachers to clarify their doubts, pertaining to the varied subjects.

On a regular basis, the pupils have to work on assignments and tests to gauge their understanding of the different subjects as well. More so, there are motivational sessions for inspiring the students to deliver their best.

At Aakash, the pupils have to work on Test Papers too. They are prepared by experts on the basis of the previous years’ exam patterns. Other than that, the students have to appear for term tests, so they can experience a real test environment.

Also, the Institution’s Complete Syllabus Test covers the entire syllabus of the different subjects.

Furthermore, the Institution has a centralized National Academic Team for developing content, devising curriculum, and training the faculty members. By doing so, Aakash maintains consistent coaching standards across their different centers.

There are, also, a range of digital courses for the pupils to avail while they are studying at Aakash. Besides, the Institution has mechanisms to monitor the attendance of the students.

There are, also, the All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS) and Distance Learning Programs that can be availed by the students throughout the country. In fact, through the AIATS, the pupils can test their knowledge among other students at the National level.

The pupils have to, also, work on question papers that the experts prepare in accordance with the exam pattern. Also, the Institution conducts National Assessment Examinations for evaluating the students’ competency levels.

The students who are enrolled in the Institution’s medical, engineering and foundation courses can, also, avail the advantage of the Institution’s Test Series that are on the basis of the exam patterns and comprise of term exams and fortnightly tests. The Medical students can avail the AIIMS Explorer Test Series periodically. Then, for The Aakash IIT-JEE pupils, the Institute holds periodic tests that are the Success Magnet Test Series and the All India Aakash Test Series. Further, at Aakash Foundations, the pupils have mock tests, annual syllabus tests, Olympiad tests, and the All India Aakash Test Series.

Moreover, the Institution has well-qualified faculty members who have gained expertise in the country’s top educational institutes – such as the National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), International Institute of Information Technology (IITs), among other premier universities. Both medical and engineering entrance exam aspirants can enroll for the Institution’s 3-year and 4-year Integrated Class Courses coaching courses. As such, they become prepared to appear for the NEET, IIMS MBBS, JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams. Further, the aspirants of the National Talent Search Exams (NTSE) and Olympiads can apply for these programs.

2)    Two Year Regular Classroom Courses at Aakash (For Class XI to X students)

The Institution’s 2-year regular classroom courses are devised for engineering and medical entrance exam aspirants. Also, Class IX and X pupils can opt for these courses to prepare for the NTSE, Olympiads, and School/Board exams.

Engineering

Under engineering, Aakash has 1-year Integrated and Power Step courses for JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. Apart from that, there is a regular course for JEE Main exam aspirants.

Medical

For Medical, the aspirants of NEET and AIIMS MBBS entrance exam can apply for the Institution’s XII cum Medical Course, Scholars Course, and Regular Course.

Foundation

Aakash’s foundation courses are inclusive of the 1-year Integrated Classroom Courses for Olympiads and NTSE, in addition to the Class XI and X Board exam ones.

Short-Term Regular Classroom Courses

The Short Term classroom courses are recommended for those students who want to brush up their knowledge and increase their competency for the entrance exams. The programs run for 3 months and pupils who are enrolled in the Engineering and Medical entrance exam courses can apply.

The Institution’s short-term regular classroom courses for Engineering, Medical and Foundation ones include a host of Test Series, Achievers and Crash courses.

Aakash: Admission Process

As part of the admission process at Aakash, there are direct admissions. Also, the Institution conducts the Admission-cum-Scholarship (ACST) exam for admitting students.

The Institution conducts direct admissions on the basis of the students’ marks in the School/Board exam. Alternatively, if the student is not eligible for Direct Admissions, then they can appear for the Institution’s ACST. Also, the applicants who qualify for direct admissions can appear for ACST. Then, on the basis of their performance in ACST, they can avail scholarships.
