JEE-Main Exam – Preparation Tips

The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE-Main) was previously known as the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and is, now, conducted by India’s National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam was introduced during the year 2002 and, then, was renamed in April 2017.

The JEE Main is a national-level competitive exam and part of the admission process for undergraduate architecture and engineering courses in Institutions that accept JEE Main scores. These institutes include the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and National Institutes of Technology (NITs).

Before the year 2019, the JEE Main was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) via 2 modes: online and paper-based. Presently, NTA holds the exam, two times per year and via online mode only.

The JEE Main aspirants have to prepare for several months before appearing for the exam. The question paper has questions on Applied Science.
