College of Art, Delhi

The College of Arts (COA) is one of the constituent colleges of Delhi University and one of the oldest ones. This College was set up during the year 1942 and offers advanced training in Visual Arts (including both creative and applied). The aspiring candidates can enrol for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Fine Arts at this premier institution. The academic activities of the College are managed by the Faculty of Music & Fine Art of the University of Delhi. And the Govt. of NCT of Delhi is responsible for the overall administration of the College.

Supported by well-qualified faculty members and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the COA is committed to realizing the fullest potential of the students. The faculty members practice arts; they are graphic designers, sculptors, and painters. And the students can learn more about their chosen fields through discussions and debates with the eminent artists.

During the College courses, the students develop skills in Fine Arts, which prepare them for creative and applied responsibilities in the field of art and design.

As part of the College courses, the students get opportunities to interact with industry leaders as well. Additionally, the College organizes workshops, educational tours, research programs and guest lectures for greater student-industry interface.

Courses
The College of Arts conducts the 4-year undergraduate-level Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and 2-year postgraduate-level Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs.

The BFA course is divided into eight semesters that include the Foundation (having two semesters) and Specialization (having six semesters) ones.

For gaining admission in the BFA program of the College, the applicants have to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in the Senior School Certification Exam from a recognized board.

The pupils receive training in various aspects: Sculpture, Painting, Applied Art, Visual Communication, Print Making, among others. Moreover, theoretical and practical knowledge, and research projects in particular fields, constitute the course curriculum.

Amenities
The College provides several amenities to the pupils. The College campus boasts of canteens, banking facilities, parking spaces, computer laboratories, library, web centers, among others.

Besides, the College has a Placement Cell that provides career guidance and recruitment assistance to the students.
