Government Medical College, Azamgarh

Set up in the year 2006, the Government Medical College & Super Facility Hospital (GMC & SFH) is traceable to Chakrapanpur in Azamgarh in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. This medical college bears affiliation with the King George Medical University in Lucknow. At the GMC & SFH, aspirants can pursue a variety of medical and paramedical courses. Courses

The GMC & SFH conducts the undergraduate-level MBBS course and paramedical diploma courses. 

 

  • MBBS Course

 

To get admissions in the MBBS course that this medical college offers, candidates should appear for the NEET-UG. Also, they have to clear the Class XII exam with at least 50% marks, with their subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The examiners consider the candidate’s marks in the NEET-UG to provide admissions to the aspirants.

 

  • Diploma Courses

 

The diploma courses have a 2-year duration, where students become qualified Lab Technicians and X-Ray technicians. 

To be eligible for the diploma courses, the aspiring candidates have to pass the 10+2 level of study in the Science discipline. And they are granted admissions on merit basis via the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty(UPSMF).

Spanning over 150 acres of land, the GMC & SFH provides a host of facilities for the students to pursue medical studies. Among the amenities that this college has are lecture theaters, operations, rooms, academic blocks, and canteens – to list a few.

Additionally, the College campus contains separate hostels for boys and girls. Plus, the auditorium is equipped with visual, audio aids and can accommodate about 750 people.

Besides, the library is well-stocked with an array of books and journals (both national and international ones).

Plus, the students can avail employment opportunities after they complete their course term. As part of the MBBS degree course, the pupils have a 1-year internship where they become experienced healthcare professionals.
