The Government Degree College (GDC) at Jalesar city in Etah district of the Uttar Pradesh state started operations from the year 1983 onwards. The GDC in Jalesar has affiliation to the Dr. Ambedkar University, Agra, UP.
The College accepts applications for courses at UG and PG levels in varied fields. These include Commerce, Arts, and Science.
The College comprises several departments. Among this list are Sanskrit, English, Hindi, Physical Education, Political Science, Economics, Commerce, Zoology, Botany Chemistry, Sociology, Maths, History – to list a few.
More so, the College has eminent faculty members, who provide guidance to the students. As such, they focus on grooming the pupils for becoming not only responsible citizens but also industry professionals.
Courses
Among undergraduate-level programs, the College conducts the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), and Bachelor of Science (BSc) ones.
Under PG courses, the College offers the Master of Arts (MA) course in two specializations: Economics and Political Science.

The GDC at Jalesarhas a campus that is spread over 15 acres of land. The College campus has several academic facilities to enrich the learning experience. The College library is equipped with a range of educational resources.
Among other facilities that the College provides to the students on campus include medical care and internet connectivity. Sports centers, laboratories, and computer centers are, also, available on campus.
Along with that, the students are driven to strike a balance between academic work and extra-curricular activities. Thus, a host of events and activities are planned on the campus for seeking the pupils’ active participation.
