The Institute of Education (IED) which is traced to the Varanasi city of India’s Uttar Pradesh state was set up in the year 2004. The IED is a private, co-educational college that has affiliation to the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

At the IED, students pursue undergraduate-level and postgraduate-level courses in the field of education.

The IED faculty members also maintain the focus on balancing both academics and activities. Hence, they encourage the students’ participation in sports for their physical and social development during academic breaks.

Courses
The IED accepts applications for admission in its Bachelor of Education (BEd) and Master of Education (Med) programs.

The BEd course is a 2-year, full-time undergraduate course. As per the eligibility criteria of this course, aspirants have to complete their graduation from a recognized board or university.

The MEd course is a 2-year, full-time postgraduate course. To be eligible for this course, applicants must secure either one of the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Education (BEd)
    • Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
    • Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El. Ed) and an undergraduate degree (with a minimum score of 50%)
    • B.A.B.Ed.
    • B.Sc.B.Ed. degree

Amenities
The IED campus is spread over 10 acres of land and has an array of infrastructural resources to facilitate the pupils’ overall development. The college campus has a library that is equipped with books and journals. More so, the campus houses separate hostels for boys and girls. Also, medical care and a cafeteria are available on the campus for the pupils. Among other facilities on the college campus are sports grounds, laboratories, auditoriums, gymnasiums, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
