AP ECET exam 2024 | AP ECET Hall Ticket 2024

On behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University in Ananthapur has the responsibility of conducting the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET). 

Through AP ECET, BSc graduates and diploma holders of Technology / Engineering / Pharmacy streams can apply for lateral entry to the 2nd year of the BE / BTech / BPharm courses, respectively. The participating colleges that accept AP ECET scores include universities, institutes that the State of Andhra Pradesh recognizes.

AP ECET: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

He/she has to be an Indian National and a resident of the State of Andhra Pradesh

Academic Qualifications

The applicant has to qualify the Diploma course in Engineering and Technology from recognized educational institutions. Candidates who will be completing the Diploma courses before admissions can also apply.

Or

The aspirant has to secure the 3-year BSc degree, having studied Mathematics as one of the exam subjects.

Qualifying Marks

He/she has to obtain minimum 45% marks in the qualifying exams.

AP ECET: Application Process

The exam authorities accept online applications for the AP ECET. The candidates have to go through the following 4 steps to apply:

#Step 1: Pay the application fee

The first step in the AP ECET application process includes providing some basic personal details and remitting the application fee by the candidate. They can choose to pay via internet banking or card payments. They can also pay via cash at the stipulated payment centers.

#Step 2: Check payment status

After paying the application fee, the applicants have to check their payment status via the tab as specified by the concerned authorities. They have to give details such as hall ticket number and mobile number to know the payment status.

#Step 3: Fill details in the application form

Following successful payment of the application fee, the candidates have to access the online AP ECET application form via the official website. Next, they are required to fill in the compulsory details. These include educational qualification, personal info, and category. More so, they have to provide their exam center choices.

Apart from that, they have to scan copies of the requisite documents and upload the scanned copies on the website. These include the signature specimen and a passport-sized photograph.

After completing all the mandatory formalities, they should submit their applications online. 

#Step 4: Take a print copy of the application form

The final step involves maintaining a copy of the filled AP ECET application form.

AP ECET: Exam Pattern

The AP ECET is conducted online and over 3 hours. The candidates are given 200 objective-type questions, divided among various sections. Every correct answer of the candidate earns them 1 mark. The total marks of the AP ECET question paper are 200 marks.

The varied sections of the AP ECET are as follows:

For Engineering stream:

Mathematics: 50 Marks 

Physics: 25 Marks

Chemistry: 25 Marks

Engineering: 100 Marks   

For BSc Maths stream:

Mathematics: 100 Marks

Analytical Ability: 50 Marks

English: 50 Marks

AP ECET: Counseling

The candidates who successfully clear the AP ECET have to attend the counseling rounds. Here, the examiners will review their performance and verify their educational credentials. Then, the applicants are awarded seats as per availability and their preferences.

Finally, they are required to complete the pending admission formalities to pursue the courses.
