The Aligarh Muslim University holds the AMU Engineering Entrance Exam (AMUEEE) in online mode every year. Aspiring candidates can apply for BTech / BE and BArch courses by applying to AMUEEE. They have to submit their online applications via the official website to apply to the courses they want to pursue.
Before applying to AMUEEE, the applicants must study the eligibility norms. Only eligible candidates are invited to apply. Also, they will receive Admit Cards, which are downloadable from the official portal. To access their Admit Cards, they have to enter their registration ID and password that the system generates during the registration/ application process.
AMUEEE: Eligibility Criteria
He/she is required to pass the Intermediate standard examination from a recognised educational board. Additionally, they have to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in English, Maths, Chemistry, and Physics.
Applicants who are also appearing for the qualifying examination can apply
Aspirants who have cleared diploma in engineering courses from AMU are also considered eligible to apply. However, they should score minimum 50% marks in the diploma course exam as per the eligibility norms.
AMUEEE: Application Form
To apply to AMUEEE, the candidates can visit the official website. Here, the first step is to complete the registration process after furnishing some basic details. Next, they get the login details via email ID and mobile number. The subsequent step is to sign in to their account with their credentials on the official portal for downloading the application form. Then, they must fill in the compulsory details in the application form. Moreover, they are required to upload the mandatory educational documents on the site.
Thereafter, they have to remit the application fee. The next step is to preview the application to check if any changes are needed. They have to, then, submit their application. The system generates the Confirmation Page after application submission. Candidates must make sure to take a print copy of this acknowledgment for future reference.
AMUEEE: Exam Pattern
As part of the candidate’s preparation for AMUEEE, they must check the exam pattern. Then, they are better prepared to give the exam.
The duration of the AMUEEE is 3 hours for the BTech paper and BArch (papers I and II), and 2 hours for the BE paper.
The AMUEEE question paper contains a total of 150 multiple-choice questions, amounting to 150 marks. For each right answer, the applicant earns 1 mark. No marks are cut if the applicant gives incorrect answers.
The exam is held offline, with English being the Medium of Instruction.
The AMUEEE covers Class XII syllabus subjects including Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
The candidates who qualify AMUEEE are called for the counseling rounds; they are held at Aligarh University. During the counseling sessions, they must submit original copies of their educational and other documents to the examiners. So, they must ensure to carry all the requisite documents when attending the counseling rounds.
The exam authorities will assess the overall performance of the candidates, based on which they allot seats. The selected candidates have to, then, visit the College/University office to tender the course fees. Also, they have to complete any remaining admission formalities as the final step.
