Gujarat Polytechnic 2024 Exam: Admission, Dates, Merit List, Eligibility

The GUJCET is a state-level entrance exam that is conducted by the ‘Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses’ (ACPDC) that works under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of India’s Gujarat state. The Education Department of the Gujarat Government has set up this committee for overseeing the admission process of the professional diploma programs within the state. A range of diploma courses covering both engineering and non-engineering disciplines are offered by the Polytechnic Colleges. For getting admission in these programs, the aspirants have to clear the entrance exam. The Committee conducts the admission process on the basis of merit. However, the applicants should read the eligibility criteria before applying. The applications of the candidates who are not eligible are not considered.

GUJCET Application Form

In March, the application form becomes available. To apply for the diploma courses, the aspirants have to visit the official site. Here, they have to register by entering few personal details. Thereafter, they can download the online application form with the required particulars. Along with submitting the form, they have to upload the required documents, as well. After checking all the details, they must click on ‘Submit’ option. Also, they must keep a copy of their application form that they have submitted for reference purposes.

Besides, they must render the Application Fee through the different valid modes of payment.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: The eligible candidates are those who are Indian Nationals, with domicile certificate of Gujarat state.

Age Limit: Only candidates who are above 15 years of age are eligible.

Educational Qualification: The aspirant has to clear their 10th standard examination, or equivalent. More so, their subjects should be inclusive of English, Science, and Mathematics.

Points to Note

Only 1 application per candidate is acceptable.

Details such as candidate’s Parents names and date of birth should be same as mentioned in the high school certificates.

The candidate’s admission is subject to verification of their original documents that are to be furnished during the counseling rounds.
The applicant has to share their registered mobile number and email address.

GUJCET Exam Pattern and Syllabus

In the month of May, the GUJCET is conducted. The exam pattern is as per the 10th standard syllabus, so the candidate must prepare accordingly. The questions are based on subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Biology, and Chemistry).

There are Multiple-Choice questions, and OMR sheets are handed out to the candidates. The applicant has to darken the boxes of the selected answers for answering the given questions.

GUJCET Admit Card

Following the deadline of the date of submission of applications, the authorities release the admit cards. Two weeks prior to the exam, the candidates can download their admit card that they must carry to the exam hall.

Gujarat Exam Result

In June, the exam results are declared and are viewable on the official website. The candidate has to enter details such as Roll Number to check their respective results.

GUJCET Merit List

Alongside, the exam results, the Merit List is issued as well. As per the candidates’ scores, they get ranks. Those candidates whose names appear in the Merit List have to attend counseling sessions, as per the given schedule.

GUJCET Counseling Process

During June, the counseling rounds are held. The shortlisted candidates are allotted colleges as per their ranks in the Merit List. Even so, the authorities verify their documents, so they must carry the original certificates when attending counseling.

Finally, they have to go to the College where they have secured admission for completion of the other admission formalities and to pay the course fees.
