Jharkhand Polytechnic 2024 Exam: Admission, Dates, Merit List, Eligibility

In India’s Jharkhand state, the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), of the Government of Jharkhand, is the governing body of technical education. In any given year, the JCECEB has the state-level polytechnic entrance examination that is the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) for those aspirants seeking admission in the varied diploma courses at the Jharkhand Polytechnic Institutes. Jharkhand Polytechnic Application Form

The authorities start accepting applications for the entrance exam in both online and offline modes, during the month of March.

For applying online, the first step is to register on the official website by entering some basic details. The subsequent step is to sign in to the accounts and download the Application Form. Then, the aspirant has to fill in the required particulars in the application form. Aside from that, they have to upload the required documents. More so, they have to render the Application Fee via online modes of payment. The candidate has to take a printout of their application forms as well.

If applying offline, the aspiring candidates have to collect the Application Form from the notified centers or download from the official website. Thereafter, they have to fill in the required fields, attach copies of the necessary documents, and pay the Application Fee. The authorities give an acknowledgment receipt after the candidate submits their applications.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria

When appearing for the Jharkhand PECE, the applicants can refer to the following eligibility criteria.

Nationality: Only the candidates who are Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Domicile: Having a Domicile Certificate of the Jharkhand state is mandatory.

Age Limit: For Mining Engineering, the specified lower age limit is 17 years during the year of admission. For the rest of the diploma courses, there are no age criteria mentioned.

Educational Qualification: Passing the 10th standard exam from a recognized Educational Board is compulsory. Moreover, the candidate has to secure 35% aggregate marks, or above, in the qualifying exam to be eligible.

If any candidate is appearing for the qualifying examination, then they can apply too.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Exam Pattern

To answer the PECE entrance test, the candidates have 150 minutes. In offline mode and via OMR sheets, the exam ensues. There are a total of 150 objective-type questions. The question paper has 3 sections that are of 50 marks each. The 3 sections are based on subjects such as Mathematics (50), Chemistry (50), and Physics (50).

Both in English and Hindu languages, the question paper can be availed. As part of the marking system, the correct answers give 1 mark while 0.25 marks are deducted for the incorrect ones.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Syllabus

As per the 10th standard syllabus, the authorities prepare the question paper. The subjects that comprise the question paper include Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Admit Card

In the month of May, the Admit Cards of the candidates are available on the official website. The candidates have to download their respective ones by clicking on the ‘Online Admit Card’ option and signing into their accounts. The authorities intimate the applicants about the dates on which the Admit Cards are accessible.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Exam Result and Merit Card

During June, the authorities announce the exam results via online mode. Besides, the Merit List is uploaded on the website. The applicants can browse the site to view their ranks and scores.

After few days from the date of the written exam, the Answer Key is accessible via the official website as well. The candidates can compare their marked answers with the Answer Key.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Counseling

The dates on which the authorities will conduct the counseling sessions are displayed in newspapers and official website. The authorities hold the counseling rounds in the month of June.

In accordance with the Merit List, the selected candidates have to attend the counseling rounds. Also, they have to furnish their preferences of Colleges and Courses in counseling.

As per the candidates’ choices and their ranks and seat availability, the authorities will conduct the seat allotment process. During counseling, the applicant’s original educational documents are needed for verification purposes as well.

Subsequently, the aspirants have to go to the allotted Institutes for completing the pending admission formalities, in addition to paying the course fees.
