Goa ITI Result & Merit List

In the Indian state of Goa, the Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship bears the responsibility for the management functions of the skill training centres – including both the Government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and privately-run Industrial Training Centers.

The vocational training centres have affiliation with the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) of the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour, the Government of India. The NCVT lays down the guidelines on the conduct of the trade courses that are, in turn, implemented via the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) in the different Indian states.

To serve the technical education needs of the aspirants who are more interested in pursuing technical courses as compared to school studies, trade programs were introduced during the 1950s as per the Union Government of India’s Craftsmen Scheme.

Aspiring candidates have a wide choice in trades that are grouped under the NCVT and SCVT categories. However, they have to meet the varied eligibility norms for applying to the different courses. Accordingly, upon course completion, they are conferred with the National Trade Certificates or State Level Trade Certificates and can, then, avail the various employment opportunities at the national or state level.
