Nagaland ITI Admit Card 2024

The governing body that conducts the admission process of the various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in India’s Nagaland state is the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Only the permanent residents of Nagaland can apply to the various ITI courses for different engineering and non-engineering trades. As part of the ITI courses, technical education is imparted to the students, after which they can earn a livelihood by working in the concerned trades.

As part of the eligibility norms, in addition to the applicants being permanent residents of Nagaland, they must be over the age of 14 years and also, should have cleared their 10th exams that are held by the State Board of Secondary Education (SSC). For some courses, the candidates should have passed their 8th standard exams.

Some ITI trades for which training is conducted at the various Nagaland centers include civil draughtsman, knitting, sewing, mechanic (electronics), machinist, plumber, electrician, stenographer, and secretary – amongst others.

To be eligible for the varied ITI courses, the aspirants have to pass the stipulated entrance test that is conducted by the ITI authorities. From any Mizoram-based ITI centers, the application form for the entrance test can be collected and consequently, submitted. However, the women candidates have to apply only from Women ITI, Dimapur. The application fee has to be paid as well.

Post the last date for submitting applications, the merit list is released by the ITI board. The names of the candidates who appear in the merit list have to appear for the entrance test on the given date. Only on clearing the entrance test, the successful candidates are invited for counseling. Thereafter, the successful candidates are given college allotment letters that have to be shown at the respective ITI colleges. Subsequently, the applicants have to deposit the tuition fees at the colleges and attend the classes as per the schedule.
