About NIOS

The NIOS was established by the Ministry of Education operating under the Government of India. It is recognised as one of the largest open schools in the world, conducting courses via distance mode. There are many youngsters, athletes, and professionals, among others, who cannot attend regular schools, and the NIOS helps to bridge the learning gap for them. Even school dropouts and children with special learning needs can enrol in NIOS programs to complete their education.

How to Check NIOS Result 2025 Online?

• Go to the home page of the NIOS official portal for Exam Results.
• Navigate to the relevant exam section and tap the corresponding “Check Result” tab.
• The system will then direct you to the login page, where you have to enter your Enrollment Number in the relevant field and tap the “Submit” button.
• The exam results then show up on the screen, and you must keep a print copy of your exam result for your records.

Among the various details seen on the students’ marksheets are:

• Name, date of birth, and enrollment number of the candidate
• The parents’ names of the candidate
• Marks tally and qualifying grades
• Marks scored by the student in each subject
• Year and month of the examination
• Qualifying status of the student, whether Pass or Fail.
• Remarks of the teacher

Based on the percentage-based grading system adopted by the NIOS, students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to obtain the Pass grade in the course exams. Moreover, students pursuing courses with practical components have to pass both theoretical exams and practicals individually.

NIOS Result Recheck 2025

NIOS opened its Re-Check and Re-Evaluation portal for the April and May 2025 exams for Class 10 and 12 from June 20 to July 4, 2025. The Re-Check fee is ₹400 per subject. Re-Evaluation, which is available for Class 12 only and costs ₹1,000 per subject. Results are released within 60 days of applying.
