National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA Result 2024

Conducted at the national level, the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) aims to admit eligible candidates into the full-time, 5-year, undergraduate-level courses in Architecture which the various colleges in India offer.

The Council of Architecture (CoA) is responsible for conducting the NATA. NATA was introduced during the year 2006, so students do not have to appear for several aptitude tests.

NATA is held twice in a year since the year 2019, during the months April and May. Aspirants can appear for either one or both exams.

Aspiring candidates who want to pursue the Bachelor in Architecture (BArch) course through the participating colleges are invited to apply for the NATA. However, they should satisfy the eligibility criteria for their applications to be considered by the CoA authorities.

NATA: Eligibility Criteria

Age Norms

Age limits are not specified for applying to NATA.

Educational Qualification

Aspiring candidates who have passed the Class XII exam (or any other equivalent examination) from a recognised board can apply. However, their subjects in Class XII should include Maths, Chemistry, and Physics (PCM).

Also, they are required to obtain a minimum 50% score in PCM subjects. More so, they must secure 50% aggregate marks or above in the Class XII exam.

For Diploma Holders

Applicants who have cleared the 10+3 Diploma course with at least 50% aggregate marks are also invited to apply. Even so, Mathematics has to be a mandatory subject in their Diploma course.

NATA: How to Apply?

NATA: Admit Card

The NATA authorities process all applications after the given deadline. Subsequently, they shortlist the candidates who are eligible. And they upload the Admit Cards of the selected applicants on the official website. The aspirant, on his/her part, has to log in to their account to access the Admit Card.

The following step is to take a print copy of their Admit Card and confirm if all the details are correct. If they notice any discrepancy, they should inform the authorities, who will make the required corrections.

NATA: Appear for the exam

On the day of the exam, the candidates must reach the exam hall on time. Importantly, they must bring their Admit Card and other essentials to the exam venue.

Before the exam commences, the examiners will check their Admit Card for confirming their identity.

NATA: Participating Colleges

The selected candidates are called for the selection rounds, where depending on seat availability they are given seats.
