NIELIT MAT-O Level Admission, Course, Grade, Exam Result

In the field of Multimedia & Animation Technology, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) offers the foundation-level MAT-O level program. The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT), operating under the Government of India, supervises the NIELIT courses. The aspirants who are interested in developing a career in Multimedia and Animation Technology can apply for the course via the official website, https://student.nielit.gov.in.

The MAT-O level course duration is 1 year, including 2 semesters that span 6 months each. The subsequent IT Multimedia course of NIELIT is the MAT-A level course that is considered equivalent to the Advanced Diploma program in Multimedia and Animation Technology.

The NIELIT authorities accept applications for the MAT-O level courses during the months of February and August each year.

The program aims to impart knowledge on multimedia tools, web designing, and animation production.

MAT-O Level Course: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of the NIELIT MAT-O level course require the applicants to complete their 10+2 standard from recognized universities.

MAT-O Level Course: Details

The NIELIT MAT-O level program consists of theory modules, practicals, and project work. Under practicals, the candidates have to appear for 2 practical exams: Practical-I and Practical II. Practical-I is held during the first semester; and Practical-II, the second semester.

Also, during project work, the students have to complete a mini-project after completion of the first semester. More so, a major project is assigned to them during the second semester.

MAT-O Level Course: Registration Process

As part of the NIELIT MAT-O level registration process, the candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps.

The first step is to visit the official website and select the ‘Apply Online’ tab. They are, then, directed to a page and, here, they should select the ‘MAT-O’ level option that comes under the ‘Multimedia and Animation Technology; section. Next, they should study and agree to the given guidelines. Thereafter, they can view the Online Registration Application Form that they have to fill with their particulars.

After filling the form, they are required to scan some documents and follow by uploading the scanned copies to the system. The documents include a thumb impression, signature, and photograph. Moreover, they have to tender the Registration Fee. They can pay via Online Banking or Card Payment.

Subsequently, they must click on the ‘Submit’ option, after which the system generates their Application Number. Also, they must keep a copy of the ‘Acknowledgment Page’ for their records.

After registration, they should sign in to their respective accounts and click on the ‘New User?’ (Registered Candidates) link. The next step is to create their profile by providing the necessary information. After entering their profile details, they have to select the link ‘Lock Profile’.

The system, then, displays the ‘Declaration Page’ and, here, they have to select the checkbox. The final step is to review their profile, after which they should select the ‘Final Submit’ link.

MAT-O Level Course: Exam

The aspirants who want to appear for the MAT-O level program have to give an online test. They have to visit the official website and fill the exam form to apply for the exam. After filling in the varied fields in the form, they should click on the ‘Submit’ tab.

The NIELIT examiners hold the exam for the MAT-O level program many times in a year. Even so, the pass percentage is pegged at 50%. The successful candidates become eligible to receive certificates.

MAT-O Level Course: Admit Card

The candidates are instructed to carry their Admit Cards to the exam hall. They should access their Admit Cards via the official website. The home page of the site contains a link for ‘Download Admit Card’. After selecting this tab, the candidates have to click on the ‘MAT-O’ level course that is seen under the section ‘Multimedia and Animation Technology’.

Next, they should fill in the required info as requested. These include details of their Date of Birth and application number, among others.

Admit cards hold significance for the authorities in the exam hall can verify the applicant’s identity.

MAT-O Level Course: Exam Result

The results of the MAT-O level exam are uploaded by the NIELIT authorities 2 months following the exam date.

The candidates have the option of viewing their results online as well. For the same, they should visit the official website and click on the ‘View Result’ tab and follow by clicking on the MAT-O level program, appearing under the ‘Multimedia and Animation Technology’ section.

They are, then, prompted to enter few basic details. Thereafter, they can check their results online. The subsequent step is to take a print copy of their results for their reference.

MAT-O Level Course: Grade Structure

NIELIT declares the pupils‘ results in the form of grades. The authorities follow the below-mentioned grading structure.

‘F’ grade (Failed): lower than 50%

‘D’ grade: ranging between 50%-54%

‘C’ grade: ranging between 55%-64%

‘B’ grade: ranging between 65%-74%

‘A’ grade: ranging between 75%-84%

‘S’ grade: 85% and over

MAT-O Level Course: Certificate Download

The pupils who secure the pass percentage are awarded certificates by the NIELIT authorities. The applicants can access their certificates by browsing the official website.

On the home page of the website, they should click on the ‘Download Certificate’ link, after which they must fill the Application Page that appears on the screen. The candidates have the option of downloading their certificates via Adobe Reader or Internet Explorer.

After downloading their certificates, they have to follow the steps to validate signature as well.
