The School Education Department of the Government of Uttarakhand makes available the Right To Education (RTE) Online Admission Form available on its official web portal, https://rte121c-ukd.in/uttarakhand. Students who are eligible to apply under the RTE Act of the Indian Constitution to avail free education in the private and public schools in Uttarakhand are encouraged to apply for admission under the RTE scheme.
The RTE provision was introduced by the Government of India to provide quality education free of cost to students hailing from the disadvantaged sections of society.

RTE Uttarakhand Admission2023: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility norms to apply for the Uttarakhand RTE Admissions 2023-24 are shared below:
- The applicant should be a resident of the Uttarakhand state of India
- The income of the family of the student does not have to be more than Rs 55000 per annum
- Age Limit: The date of birth and class of the student as on 1st April 2021 has to be as given below::
- Pre Primary Class: 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2018
- Class I: 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016
RTE Uttarakhand Admission 2023: How to Apply
Refer to the following details to know about the steps to apply for the Uttarakhand RTE Admissions for the academic year 2023-24:
- Start by browsing the home page of the Uttarakhand RTE Admission official website, https://rte121c-ukd.in/uttarakhand
- Locate the “Registration” tab and select “Student Registration” from the sub-menu
- The screen then displays the Online Registration Form and you are required to submit the mandatory information to register
- After successful registration, you will get a Registration Number on your certified mobile number; you will need your Registration Number for checking the lottery result
- Once you fill in all the details in the Registration Form, proceed by tapping the “Save and Next” link
- Remember, fields having the star “*” mark are compulsory to fill in
- Following online registration, the parents of the students must submit copies of original documents at the given block Sub-Educational Officer’s office for verification purposes; the deadline for verification is 15th March 2020.
- Only those students whose documents have been verified at the office of the Block Education Officer will appear in the lottery result
- The Block Education Officer will declare the lottery of applicants on 20th March 2020. All those students whose name appears on the lottery will receive a message on their registered mobile number
- The parents of the selected applicants should thereafter take the mandatory list of documents to the designated school and enroll their child

- Copy of Online Application
- Documents for determining eligibility Criteria
- Copy of the Birth Certificate of the student (Aadhaar card, Birth Certificate, and Self Declaration are acceptable)
- Copy of residential address of parents (Voter Card, Bank Passbook, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill, Driving License, and Voter Card can be submitted)
- Identification documents of the parents of the student (PAN Card / Driving License, Voter ID are applicable)
- Copy of Family Income Certificate
- Copy of Caste Certificate of the Mother or Father of the Student (if they belong to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, or Other Backward Class section)
- Copy of the Medical Certificate of the student (if he/she is handicapped or HIV-infected)
- Copy of Destitution Document (if the student is destitute)
- Copy of Divorce Document (in case of divorced mothers)
- Copy of Death Certificate (if the mother of the student is a widow)
