The Gautam Buddha Government Degree College (GBGDC) was incorporated in the year 1997 in the Ayodhya city of Faizabad district of the Uttar Pradesh state of India. The NAAC has accredited the GBGDC with the ‘D’ grade. Also, the GBGDC is affiliated with the Dr. Ram ManoharLohiaAwadh University in Faizabad. Additionally, the University Grants Commission has approved the range of academic courses that the GBGDC conducts.
The GBGDC conducts undergraduate-level courses in the Arts discipline. The different departments of the GBGDC include Hindi, English, Sociology, Economics, Sanskrit, Physical Education, and Political Science.
In addition, the qualified team of faculty members of the GBGDC drafts the course curriculum to provide value-added education and develop life skills, for the pupils to groom into professionals.
More so, adhering to the holistic view of education, the GBGDC offers the students opportunities to not only excel in academics but also develop their overall personality.
The GBGDC offers the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in seven specializations. These include Sanskrit, Economics, Hindi, Physical Education, Sociology, Political Science, and English.
The eligibility norms of the BA program require the applicant to clear the 10+2 exam or any equivalent exam. Plus, they should secure the minimum qualifying marks in the qualifying exam from a recognized State/Central education board.
The GBGDC campus extends over 4 acres of land. More so, an array of academic facilities is available on campus to create a quality academic environment.
The College campus houses a library and a canteen. Other than that, the students have access to Wi-Fi connectivity, medical aid, and playgrounds.
Aside from that, the College hosts several events on campus as part of the extracurricular activities of the pupils. By participating in socio-economic drives students become aware of their societal responsibilities. Further, by taking part in sports activities, they imbibe a healthy competitive spirit.
