Government College Shahpur, Distt. Betul

The Government College in Shahpur that comes in the Betul district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh was set up in the year 2008. This Shahpur Government college enjoys affiliation to the Chhindwara University that is situated in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. Also, the college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The college started operations by conducting undergraduate courses in the field of Arts initially. Later, the college began holding undergraduate-level and postgraduate-level courses in the fields of Science and Commerce.

Apart from academic work, the college encourages the pupils’ participation in various activities. The college organizes youth festivals, NSS camps, and sports functions for increasing interaction between students.

 Among courses at the undergraduate levels, the college offers the Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), and Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs. The Master of Social Work course is offered under postgraduate-level courses by the college.

Economics, Hindi, Political Science, English, History, Sociology, and Botany are among specializations under the BA program. As part of the BSc courses, the college has provisions for specializations in Chemistry, Zoology, Maths, Botany, and Physics.
