The department of Madhya Pradesh oversees the functioning of the college. Also, this girls-only college has affiliation to the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The NAAC has accredited this college with the “C” grade.
The Barwani Girls college was started to empower females who hail from the tribal areas. The college offers undergraduate courses in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Courses
The Government Girls college in Barwani offers the 3-year, full-time Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) programs.
The BA course offers specializations in subjects including Home Science, Sociology, Political Science, English, Economics, Hindi, and Computer Applications.
Under the BCom program, students can specialize in Applied Economics, Management, and Accounts.
The various specializations as part of the BSc courses are Maths, Microbiology, Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Computer Science, among others.
