The date 25th July 1972 marks the establishment of the Government Tulsi Degree College of Anuppur (GTDC): Anuppur is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The state government of Madhya Pradesh took over the GTDC in the year 1986. Also, the GTDC has affiliation with the Awadhesh Pratap Singh University that is traced to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The University Grants Commission has approved the courses that the GTDC holds. The Central Board of Studies at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh designs the curriculum of the college courses. At the GTDC, aspiring candidates can apply for courses in the Commerce, Arts, and Science streams.
At the undergraduate level, the GTDC offers courses such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). In the line of postgraduate programs, the college conducts the Master of Science (MSc), Master of Commerce (MCom), and Master of Arts (MA) courses.
The college offers various specializations under the MA and MSc courses. Botany and Chemistry are among specializations under the MSc programs. Among some MA specializations, aspirants can pursue subjects such as History, Economics, Hindi, Political Science, and Sociology.
Spanning over 6 acres of land, the GTDC campus offers a range of infrastructural resources to aid the students’ holistic development. More so, the college library is well-stocked with a collection of books and other reference material. Laboratories and sports facilities are some other facilities that the college has on campus. The college offers scholarships and financial aid to the pupils, too.
