Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi

During the year 1953, the Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI) was set up. The VPCI is a premier institution conducting postgraduate studies pertaining to chest diseases. Also, the Institute has affiliation with the University of Delhi (DU). The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India are responsible for managing VPCI. The VPCI was founded due to the lack of trained personnel in the field of chest diseases in India. Hence, to bridge the gap of chest disease specialists, the VPCI was instituted. The VPCI has the accreditation of the NAAC.

The Institute caters to the healthcare needs of patients ailing from Chest Diseases. Besides, the VPCI encourages research in the field of chest diseases. At the Institute, students are trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and related fields for making progress in the area of chest diseases.

Highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities, the Institute also hosts a variety of seminars, workshops, and other interactive sessions while seeking students’ participation.
