by The Indraprastha College for Women started conducting academic sessions from the year 1924 onwards. The College is recognized to be the oldest women college across India. The College is a constituent one of the University of Delhi and traceable towards the North campus of the University. The College is, also, ranked among the top ten colleges of the University. The College conducts a range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Arts, College and Science streams. Also, aspirants can apply for undergraduate courses in Mass Media and Mass Communication at the institution.
Courses
The aspirants can apply for various Bachelor in Arts, Bachelor in Commerce and Bachelor in science courses at the College. Under BA (Hons.) degree programs, they can pursue different fields. These include Political Science, Music, Philosophy, Multimedia & Mass Communication, Hindi, English, Sociology, among others.
Also, they can enrol for BSc (Hons.) degree programs in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Admission Process
To admit students in the various courses of the College, the authorities release the cut-off marks for the varied programs. Upon satisfying the eligibility norms, the applicants get admissions in their chosen programs.
Though, for some programs, an entrance exam is conducted. On merit basis, the candidates are then given admissions.

Spread over 14 acres of land, the College campus boasts of eco-friendly surroundings and several amenities. Among the College facilities, the students can avail a spacious and well-stocked library.
Also, for securing placements for the College students, a placement cell named JEET has been constituted. The Cell arranges placement drives where companies are invited to offer placements to the graduating students.
More so, meritorious students receive scholarships by the College. Women hailing from impoverished backgrounds receive financial aid as well.
Additionally, internships with renowned companies can be availed by the pupils.
