by The year 1973 marks the establishment of the Government Maharshi Arvind College in Gohad which comes in the Bhind district of India’s Madhya Pradesh state. The college was set up as a result of the collective efforts of a group of persons who wanted to empower the citizens of the adjoining districts via education. The Madhya Pradesh state government officials took over the college in the year 1978.
At the onset, the college was offering only the Bachelor of Arts course. However, the college started offering the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Master of Arts (MA) programs from the year 2003 onwards. Also, the college has provisions for the Master of Commerce (MCom) and Bachelor of Science courses since the academic years 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively.
The college prepares the students to meet the challenges of a dynamic society via education, research, and different academic activities going by the demands of the stakeholders.

The Government Maharshi Arvind College in Gohad accepts applications for a variety of courses. These include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Arts (MA), and Master of Commerce (MCom).
