Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rajkiya Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Varanasi

The Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rajkiya Balika Mahavidyalay (PDDURBM) is an all-girls college that was founded in the year 2001 at Sewapuri that comes within the Varanasi city of India’s Uttar Pradesh state. The NAAC has accredited the PDDURBM with the ‘B’ grade. Also, the PDDURBM has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In addition, the PDDURBM enjoys affiliation with the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, UP.

At the PDDURBM, students pursue courses in the Arts stream at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This girls-only college was started to cater to the higher educational needs of young women hailing from the adjoining villages of Varanasi.

Courses

The PDDURBM has provisions for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) programs. The 3-year, undergraduate-level BA course offers various specializations. These include History, English, Sociology, Political Science, Physical Education, Home Science, History, and Economics.

Among specializations as part of the 2-year, postgraduate-level MA course, the college pupils can choose between Hindi and Sociology.

Admission Process

The PDDURBM grants admission to aspirants of the BA and MA courses on merit basis. The college authorities consider the applicant’s marks in the High School and Intermediate exams for admission to the BA program. On the other hand, for admissions into the MA course, the college takes into account the marks secured by the candidate in the Bachelor’s degree course.

The campus size of the PDDURBM is 2 acres and has a range of infrastructural resources to aid the pupils’ holistic development. Playgrounds and laboratories are among some facilities that are available on the PDDURBM campus.
