by The Rani Durgavati Government College (RDGC) is based in Paraswada in the Balaghat district of the Jabalpur division of India’s Madhya Pradesh state. Set up in the year 1989, the RDGC is the pioneer in offering higher education around the rural and tribal areas of Balaghat. Also, the RDGC has affiliation with the Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.
The RDGC conducts undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the streams of Arts and Science. The college courses and degrees have been approved by the government.
Courses
At the RDGC, aspirants can apply for undergraduate courses including the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) ones. Under the BSc courses, the college offers specializations in Maths and Biology.
As far as postgraduate-level programs are concerned, the RDGC offers the Master of Arts (MA) program. Hindi, Sociology, and history are among specializations as part of the MA course curriculum.
Amenities
The RDGC campus, equipped with a host of infrastructural facilities, spans over 15 acres of land. Laboratories, research labs, canteen, are classrooms are some facilities that the college provides. Aside from that, the college campus has sports complexes, auditoriums, and hostels. More so, the RDGC college library has a collection of books and other reference material.
In addition to studies, the college staff encourages the pupils to partake in extra-curricular activities for their holistic development. The college has an NSS unit for the students to take part in a range of socio-cultural projects. Moreover, the college promotes sports and organizes cultural programs that give students various opportunities to interact with each other.
