by Founded in the year 1995, the Santosh Medical College (SMC) is traceable to Ghaziabad in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. Previously, the SMC was affiliated with the Chaudhary Charan Singh University until the year 2007, when the Santosh University was set up. Since then, the SMC has been one of the constituent colleges of Santosh University, which is a deemed-to-be university. Having the approval of the Medical Council of India, the SMC offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of medicine. Also, this prestigious medical institution has an attached hospital, Santosh Hospital, which is housed within the College campus. The in-house hospital has healthcare facilities for students and the public.
At the undergraduate level, the College offers the MBBS course. For the postgraduate-level programs, the College has provisions for the MD and MS courses in various specializations.

- For the MBBS Course
The full-time, undergraduate-level MBBS course runs for 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of curriculum studies and 1-year of compulsory internship.
The eligibility criteria of the MBBS program require the applicant to pass the Higher Secondary College exams. The minimum qualifying marks in the qualifying exam is 50% aggregate marks. More so, the mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination include Chemistry, Physics, English, and Biology/Biotechnology.
Besides, the aspiring candidates should secure the minimum qualifying marks in the NEET-UG exam.
Admission Process
Admission to the MBBS course ensues via Central Government Counseling for Deemed-to-be Universities that the DGHS conducts via the www.mic.nic.in website. The eligible candidates have to register on the website for getting admissions.
For the MBBS admissions, the examiners consider the applicants’ marks in the NEET-UG.
