MP PPT 2024 Exam: Admission, Dates, Merit List, Eligibility

In India’s state of Madhya Pradesh (MP), the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is the governing body of technical education. The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), or MP VYAPAM, functioning under the Government of Madhya Pradesh has the responsibility of conducting the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Test (MP PPT) that is held every year. The MPPEB’s official website is http://peb.mp.gov.in/.

To get admission in MP’s Polytechnic Institutes, the applicants have to clear the MP PET entrance exam that is conducted at the state level. There are several government-owned and privately-run Polytechnic Colleges that offer professional diploma courses. The candidates have to successfully complete the programs, following which they receive diplomas. Then, they can work in industries in their respective domains.

MP PPT Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants who wish to appear for the MP PPT examination have to satisfy the following norms.

Nationality: The candidate should have Indian Nationality.

Domicile: The applicant must have domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh state.

Qualifying Exam: The aspiring candidate has to pass the 10+2 exam, securing 35% aggregate marks, or above, from a recognized educational board. Also, the compulsory subjects should be Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics. For the applicants aspiring for admissions to the Fashion Technology course, it is not mandatory to have studied Maths and Science as part of their 10th standard curriculum.

MP PPT Application Form

To apply for the entrance examination, the applicants have to first visit the MPPEB’s official website and register. During March, the authorities start accepting candidate registrations. After registering, the candidates will get their login information, using which they have to sign into their accounts. Then, they have to access the online application form and fill in the required fields. More so, they should download the rule book and read the instructions therein carefully.

Along with submitting the filled application form, the candidate is required to upload a scanned copy of their photograph and signature in the prescribed format as well. Thereafter, they should take a printout of the application form, as well as attach the necessary documents, and submit at the helpline centers. Further, they have to render the application fee.

MP PPT Exam Pattern

The entrance exam is conducted in offline mode where the candidates get OMR sheets. The question paper will contain a total of 150 questions and is divided into 3 sections; Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. In each section, there are 50 questions for the candidates to answer within a 2-hour duration. The questions are objective-type ones where the candidate has to select the correct answer among the given options.

MP PPT Syllabus

The candidate should prepare from the 10th standard syllabus for the entrance examination. Besides, they can check the Answer Key that is posted by the authorities on the website after the exam.

MP PPT Admit Card

During April, the admit cards are uploaded by the authorities. Before the exam date, the authorities will inform the candidates about the Admit Cards that downloadable from the official website.

The applicants have to download their respective admit cards after logging into their accounts. Then, they can access the admit cards and have to take a printout of the same. The examining authorities will check the candidates’ admit cards at the exam hall, so the applicants should carry them when going for the exam.

MP PPT Result and Merit List

In May, the concerned authorities declare the results. Accordingly, the candidates are intimated about the same. On their part, the applicants have to browse the result portal on the official website for checking and downloading the results. However, they have to sign into their accounts to access their respective results.

Alongside the exam result, the authorities release the Merit List as well. Depending on the candidates’ scores in the entrance test, they are ranked by the authorities. The Merit List has significance because the allotment of seats ensues on the basis of the ranks of the applicants.

MP PPT Counseling

The next step entails the online counseling rounds where the selected candidates have to participate. At first, they have to register for counseling. Then, as per their ranks, the authorities will invite them for the counseling sessions.

During counseling, the authorities verify the original educational documents of the candidates. Also, the applicant has to give choices of their courses and institutes for the authorities to allot seats accordingly. The aspirants are to fill in as many choices for increasing their chances of admissions as per their preferences.

Post the online counseling rounds, if any vacant seats are left, then offline counseling rounds are conducted to fill in the vacancies. Finally, the candidates who have been allotted seats are to visit the Institutes to complete any pending admission formalities and tender the course fees.
