Goa ITI Admit Card 2024

The admissions of students for the various ITI courses in the Indian state of Goa are conducted by the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Goa. The applicants can apply for various engineering, and non-engineering ITI trades, which come under the Craftsmen Training Scheme and Center of Excellence Scheme, by appearing for the state-level entrance test.

The ITI centres have been set up throughout India to provide skilled manpower to public and private firms. Moreover, the youth are given training; and also, they get an opportunity to develop the required skills for the different trades. In turn, they can have a means of livelihood.

Under engineering, ITI trades include electronics mechanic, electrician, turner, fitter, mechanic refrigeration & air-conditioning, mechanical/civil draughtsman, mechanic motor vehicle, amongst others. The non-engineering ITI trades incorporate stenographer, desktop publishing operator, print & media, and sewing technology – to list a few.

The varied courses have different eligibility criteria. The candidates must check the eligibility norms and apply only to the relevant ones. For some courses, the minimum qualification is that the applicants must have passed the 8th standard; while for others, 10th standard.

For applying to the ITI courses in Goa, the candidates have to fill out the application forms at the respective colleges. Alternatively, they can send their applications via registered post; and address the letters to the principals of the ITI centers. They can, also, apply online on the official website, www.sdct.goa.gov.in.

After the admission process is completed, as per the listed schedule, the aspirants can download their admit cards or hall tickets from the site. The candidates are required to carry the admit cards to the exam hall and produce them when asked by the examining authorities.

Only the successful candidates are invited to attend the counselling schedules; the dates for counselling will be mentioned on the official website. Also, to check their results, the candidates have to browse the official website.

Subsequently, the merit list is prepared by the authorities. As per the preference of the candidates, they will be allotted the respective ITI colleges. During the counselling schedules, they have to mention their choice of college.

After getting admission, the applicants will be handed their allotment letters that have to be produced at the specified colleges. Also, the applicants have to pay the tuition fee for their admission to the chosen courses.
